3 Weeks in and £291.89 paid in Tax

So far I have paid £291.89 in taxes in 2013, Just under £100 per week.

This is all set to change tomorrow however when I get paid and make the largest single contribution to the Governments Coffers.

So after three weeks the various taxes I have paid are broken down as

So Council Tax is still the highest volume at present with £132.00 but followed by VAT at £81.30 and Fuel Duty of £54.95 there is a large increase in VAT due as I am getting some work done on the house which should increase that by £600 as well as paying for a Holiday that we have booked. so I very much doubt this £100 per week level will be anything like how it will look even by the end of this week.

The single biggest taxed item so far is, unsurprisingly, Petrol where so far with £76.35 out of £128 going to the government.
